ABOUT US …
DBFC (Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia) is a national and international organization founded in 1991 by the Salesians of Don Bosco to train orphans and poor youth in different technical skills and to support children to continue their basic and secondary education. In this way they can come out of the circle of poverty and contribute to a more positive social change in their country: Cambodia. Most of the activities run by the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia evolve around training and education.
Therefore, we educators and technical skills trainers commit ourselves to focus an efficient quality education and technical skills training on the development of the whole person with its human, social, moral values and attitudes with the employable skills training. We, educators and youth together, commit ourselves to create a healthy atmosphere that guarantees the improvement of personality, interpersonal and social skills and to instil a strong sense of human and moral values.
We envision young people who are freed from social, political, economic and cultural oppression; totally integrated persons; love the King, Nation and Religion, respect the many cultures and belief of people; and are in deep and harmonious relationship with each other.
We envision Cambodian youth who are dynamic participants in the life of their country and working together for the total human liberation from fear, anger, poverty, insecurity and hunger. We envision communities of committed youth and educators to become catalyst of change contributing to the building up of a more just society worthy of human beings.
